Let’s be honest, we all love the decadence of a Gu Pudding Pot don’t we? But now it’s super simple to feel a tiny bit virtuous after we’ve indulged by turning the glass jar into a gorgeous snack pot. What’s more these pots are stylish enough to pop into your laptop bag or teenager’s college rucksack without them complaining…
As soon as I saw the ingenious idea from @puddingpotlids to create bamboo lids that perfectly fit these gorgeous glass pots, I had to have some. And to get you started here’s just a couple of suggestions to give these little glass beauties a new lease of life…
Prep mini overnight oats jars with a spoonful of oats, seeds, nut butter and greek yoghurt for a high protein start to your morning - add some berries for an extra brain boost, whilst also benefiting from their antioxidant properties.
Fill with nuts and seeds for the perfect energy boosting snack pot full of healthy omega-3 fats to pop in your bag on the way out the door.
Bake my ‘Energy Bites’ or ‘Peanut Butter Snack Balls’ and add a couple to a pot for a pre- or post-workout boost (recipes coming soon). Healthy fats in nut butter are high in omega-3, providing the body with energy; whilst dates are a key ingredient of energy balls as they are, not only highly nutritious, but act as a natural sweetener in place of any refined sugars you may be tempted to add instead!
Decant herbs and spices into these to repurpose them as stylish spice jars. Spices such as cinnamon and ginger are an alternative way to sweeten bakes and are both known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
