“Healthy Body, Happy Me!”

Welcome to my tiny corner of the world, where I aim to make a big difference to the young people around me. By encouraging conversations around food choices from an early age, I believe we can support the health and happiness of future generations. My aim is to provide active children and their busy parents with the knowledge and tools they need to eat better and enjoy food in its natural form.

Making healthy food choices fun….

I believe it is essential to introduce the concept of healthy food choices from an early age.  Poor diet and nutrition are key factors in illness and health problems - such as increasing rates of Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes in both adults and children - yet can often be prevented in the developed world.  A natural diet - rich in wholefoods and a variety of nutrient dense fruit and vegetables - is essential for healthy growth and development, as well as our mental wellbeing.  It’s also more sustainable for our planet too!

Learning about food and nutrition spans multiple disciplines from numeracy and literacy, to science, technology and PSHE. Baking can even provide a therapy-like response for some children and adults, myself included! However, many children do not currently get the opportunity to learn these vital skills either at school or home.
